Acne is particularly prevalent among adolescents, but adults can also develop the common skin condition. Women who are going through hormonal changes, people under a lot of stress, or those who react to certain things in their diet are vulnerable to developing acne.
Acne includes blemishes like pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, and cysts. It develops when your natural skin oils clog up your pores, which are then infected with bacteria. The resulting inflammation causes raised, red, and pustule-filled lesions.
Acne most commonly occurs on the face, back, chest, and shoulders. Mild cases of acne are controllable with over-the-counter skin care products and diligent hygiene, but many cases need professional help.
What acne treatments do you offer?
Jim uses the advanced Aviclear laser for acne treatment and prevention. The laser replaces most acne medications and can reduce about 80% of active breakouts.
He also provides acne treatment using powerful prescription medications for people 14 and older.
Following a consultation, James individualizes your treatment plan to help you get clear skin quickly and safely.
How does Aviclear work for acne treatment?
Aviclear offers a breakthrough treatment for acne. It’s the first and only FDA-cleared device for acne treatment.
Appropriate for all skin tones and all intensities of breakouts, Aviclear selectively targets and suppresses your sebaceous glands. These glands produce sebum, an oily substance on your skin that causes and intensifies breakouts. When these glands overproduce sebum, it gets trapped along with dead skin and dirt in your pores.
The special wavelengths used by Aviclear are absorbed by the sebaceous glands only. It won’t cause hypopigmentation because the wavelengths do not react to skin pigment like other lasers.
Aviclear’s energy slows down these glands’ production of sebum. As a result, your breakouts are shorter, less frequent, and less severe.
How many Aviclear acne treatments will I need?
You benefit most from a series of three treatments, each lasting just 30 minutes. These are scheduled one month apart.
The laser treatment is appropriate for people of all ages.
